Modern wastes, especially plastics and the anthropogenic greenhouse gases responsible for climate change, are rapidly altering the landscape of the Himalayan plateau and threatening the livelihoods of its people. In some areas of the plateau, the grass has disappeared within the last generation, leaving whole villages stranded amidst new deserts. In others, the snow flash melts at the wrong times of year subjecting communities to unpredictable alternations between droughts and floods.

The people of the Himalayas are struggling to adapt to these rapid changes. Your support allows us to continue working alongside them to protect this fragile ecosystem and to innovate locally-driven paths into a healthier and more sustainable future.
